𝗪𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗪𝗢𝗨) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗧 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 marked a significant milestone with the 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 24 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗼𝗧-𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀. This collaboration demonstrates WOU’s commitment to workforce development in Malaysia’s high-tech manufacturing sector.

Through this initiative, employees gained hands-on skills in IoT and data analytics, contributing directly to their organisation's manufacturing environment. The success of this programme paves the way for future workforce development models in industries such as semiconductors, automation, and electronics manufacturing.

Following the MoU signed on 17 April, we were excited to host the delegation in Penang for a benchmarking visit focused on open and distance learning, research, and postgraduate provision. The visit featured lively exchanges, shared practices, and plenty of ideas on how both institutions can work more closely together.

Here’s to a partnership driven by shared learning, strengthened through collaboration, and shaped by a common goal of creating real and lasting impact.
