Faculty of Management UTM hosted an important discussion with Auto Count Sdn Bhd to develop a specialized Micro-Credential (MC) module on October 12, 2026.The session brought together faculty representatives, including Head of Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dewi Fariha Abdullah, together with the faculty’s Certified Auto Count Trainers, Madam Sariati Azman and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noriza Mohd Jamal, to collaborate with Puan Naimah Shamsuddin, Senior Education Consultant from Auto Count.

After reaching a mutual consensus to work together on the MC initiative, both parties agreed to finalize a Letter of Intent (LOI) to co-design an industry-aligned curriculum that merges academic learning with practical software expertise and is open to all interested participants.

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT PARTICIPATES IN THE NATIONAL FINANCIAL LITERACY SYMPOSIUM (NFLS) 2026

Faculty of Management UTMparticipated in the National Financial Literacy Symposium (NFLS) 2026, held on 6–7 October 2026 at Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.

The Faculty was represented by Dr. Johan Ariff Jafri, Dr. Balkis Kasmon and Kavinh Kumaran, Bachelor of Accounting with Honours student.

The symposium enhanced participants’ financial literacy, critical thinking, professional skills and understanding of financial planning and risk management. It also provided valuable networking opportunities with industry experts, academics and financial institutions.

This participation supports UTM’s commitment to developing competent, responsible and industry-ready accounting professionals.
