UTM-Centre for Industrial & Applied Mathematics (UTM-CIAM),Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Mathematics for Industry (IMI),Kyushu University, Japan, have strengthened their collaboration through the Quadruple Helix framework, focusing on mathematics as a key driver for innovation.

This partnership aims to enhance academic and research exchange, promote applied mathematical research, and foster closer cooperation among academia, industry, government, and the community.

UTM congratulates Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shariffah Suhaila Syed Jamaludin (Department of Mathematical Sciences) on her appointment as Academic Exchange Staff under the Japan-Malaysia Advanced Industrial & Applied Mathematics Research Cooperation, funded by the Japan Science & Technology Agency (JST).

She will be attached to Institute of Mathematics for Industry, Kyushu University, Japan from 22 August to 22 September 2025.
