“Infused, Embed, and Integrate Values-Based Education (VBE) in Higher Education”

Our speaker, Prof. Emeritus Sr. Ir. Dr. Suhaimi Abdul Talib, former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International) of UiTM, will share how universities can build values into curriculum, teaching, and assessment, and what this means from an accreditation perspective.

The session will be moderated by Ir. Dr. Liew Chia Pao.

Generative AI is increasingly seen as a tool for information retrieval. This talk presents a different perspective: generative AI as a tool for making. Join us as Prof. Naoki Ohshima (Yamaguchi University | Visiting Professor, MJIIT, UTM) shares four classroom cases and one research prototype exploring how generative AI is reshaping who can build, and what can be built, in higher education.

Program STEM STAR, sebuah inisiatif di bawah tajaan SP Setia Foundation, yang diketuai oleh Dr. Nor Farahwahidah diteruskan ke Fasa 3 dengan memberi fokus kepada pembelajaran dan aplikasi teknologi menggunakan Micro-bit dan Arduino. 💻🔧⚡

Melalui aktiviti hands-on yang interaktif, murid berpeluang mengenali asas pengaturcaraan, elektronik dan teknologi melalui penggunaan Micro-bit dan Arduino dalam menghasilkan projek-projek STEM yang kreatif dan menarik.

Pendekatan pembelajaran berasaskan projek ini bukan sahaja memperkenalkan murid kepada teknologi, malah turut menggalakkan pemikiran komputasional, kreativiti, penyelesaian masalah dan kemahiran kejuruteraan sejak di bangku sekolah. 🚀💡

Semoga Program STEM STAR terus menjadi platform dalam menyemai minat, keyakinan dan aspirasi murid untuk menerokai bidang STEM serta menjadi generasi pencipta dan inovator pada masa hadapan. 🌱✨

Setinggi-tinggi penghargaan kepada SP Setia Foundation, pihak SK Taman Rinting 1, para guru dan semua yang terlibat dalam menjayakan Program STEM STAR Fasa 3.

Tahniah Dr Nurzal Effiyana Ghazali atas pelantikan semula sebagai Pengarah Pusat Pendidikan Kejuruteraan, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia berkuat kuasa mulai 1 Ogos 2026 hingga 31 Julai 2028.

Selamat maju jaya dalam kepimpinan serta terus cemerlang dalam memacu kecemerlangan pendidikan kejuruteraan di UTM. Semoga tempoh perkhidmatan yang baharu ini membawa lebih banyak kejayaan, pencapaian dan sumbangan bermakna kepada CEE serta universiti.
