📢 Keynote Session 3: Language & Teaching

Rethinking literacy methodologies requires evaluating the actual challenges faced by learners. For Keynote Session 3, Dr. Ermi Ruziyana Md Nordin from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia will present “Rethinking Literacy: What Struggling Readers Taught Me About Teaching”.

This session provides an objective and critical perspective on language education, reading proficiency, and practical teaching applications. It takes place in the Main Lobby on September 23 and will be moderated by Shahidaa Scott.

The digital transformation of global tourism is actively redefining societal communication. Keynote Session 2 features Dr. Andika Sanjaya from Universiti Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Indonesia.

The discussion will center on “Building Paradise 2.0: How Citizens, Code, and Communication are Redefining Global Tourism”. This presentation assesses the intersection of digital frameworks and modern travel dynamics.

📢 Keynote Session 1: Health Communication & Discourse Analysis

How did advertisements communicate health crises a century ago? For Keynote Session 1, VLCPIS 2026 welcomes Prof. Dr. Krisda Chaemsaithong from Hanyang University, South Korea.

The presentation is formally titled “Metapragmatics in a time of crisis: The case of Spanish flu product advertisements (1918-1920)”. This session offers a critical historical evaluation of health discourse.

The session will commence on September 23 at 08:45 AM in the Main Lobby, moderated by Shahidaa Scott.
