📜16 September 1963, Malaysia was officially formed.
At that time, the Federation of Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore came together to form Malaysia, marking the beginning of a new chapter for this diverse nation. 🌺

💫Malaysia Day is not only an important milestone commemorating the formation of our nation, but also a meaningful occasion for us to appreciate and reflect on Malaysia’s diversity, unity and spirit of inclusiveness.

From East Malaysia to Peninsular Malaysia, our different states, cultures, languages and communities come together to shape the unique identity of Malaysia. It is precisely these differences that make our unity even more valuable. 🌏

【🔍 Guest Lecture on “AUDITING: INSIGHTS & OUTLOOK —— An Insider’s Perspective” | 客座讲座 “审计：洞察与展望 —— 从业者视角” 】

✨ Reflecting on a Journey of Knowledge & Experience

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Tiang Woon Meng, Assurance Partner in PwC Malaysia, for taking the time to share his knowledge, experiences and valuable insights from over 30 years in the auditing profession. His personal journey offered us meaningful lessons on professional growth, integrity, communication, continuous learning and the importance of sound judgement throughout a career. 💪

The session gave participants a closer look at the evolving auditing profession, including the impact of AI on audit and future graduates, and the growing importance of sustainability reporting in Malaysia. The discussion also briefly touched on fraud and corporate failures, giving participants a better understanding of the challenges and responsibilities within the profession. 🛡

This year’s challenge placed participants in a real-world consultancy simulation for YYC on U Mobile, giving them the opportunity to conduct strategic analysis, explore brand equity, and develop practical business recommendations while strengthening their analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and professional skills. 📊✨

【📢 Special Talk | Current Developments in Malaysian Taxation 税务专题讲座 | 马来西亚税务最新发展】

We are delighted to have successfully hosted our special talk on Current Developments in Malaysian Taxation!

A heartfelt thank you to our esteemed speaker, Mr. Koo Kian Ming, Tax Executive Director at BDO Malaysia, as well as CTIM Council Member and Chairman of the Examination and Education Committee, for sharing valuable insights on important topics such as e-Invoicing, Stamp Duty, Personal Taxation, and Tax Compliance, helping participants gain a better understanding of the latest tax developments in Malaysia. 💼

Special thanks to Ms. Wong Zi Wei as well for sharing insights into the role and career pathway of a Tax Associate at BDO Malaysia, and Ms. Irene for introducing the CTIM Professional Examinations and sharing valuable information about CTIM.
