We are proud to have been a co-organiser of the AETDEW Global Development Dialogue 2026, held on 27 August 2026 at the KLUST campus. With the theme “Industry Trusted Technology Adoption for the Global South”, the dialogue brought together perspectives from academia, industry, engineering and technology, exploring important issues surrounding AI governance, cybersecurity, digital trust, responsible innovation and sustainable development.

We were especially pleased to see our students and lecturers participating in the dialogue, gaining exposure to conversations and perspectives that extend beyond the classroom. As a university, we remain committed to creating more opportunities for our students to engage with industry leaders, hear from experts and broaden their understanding of the world they will enter as future professionals.

A sincere thank you to all our students and lecturers for their participation and support, and to our partners and fellow co-organisers for making this meaningful dialogue possible.

We look forward to continuing to build stronger connections between education and the wider professional community, creating greater exposure and opportunities for our students to learn, connect and grow.

For school counsellors, professional development is not simply about adding another skill to their toolkit. It is about continually strengthening the knowledge and professionalism needed to navigate their work with greater confidence. This was the focus of the Bengkel Skill Up: Kompas Kaunselor Daerah Hulu Langat Tahun 2026, hosted at Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST) on 26–27 August 2026.

Organised by the Majlis Guru Kaunseling Kebangsaan (MGKK) Daerah Hulu Langat in collaboration with Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Hulu Langat, the two-day workshop brought together 60 participants: 59 Guru Bimbingan dan Kaunseling Sepenuh Masa (GBKSM) from secondary schools and one officer from PPD Hulu Langat.

The programme brought together different areas of professional learning, from the Laluan Guru Cemerlang (GC) to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TF-CBT), grief counselling, crisis intervention, and self-care.

For us at KLUST, hosting the workshop provided more than a space for professional learning. It created a direct opportunity to engage with school counsellors across Hulu Langat and PPD Hulu Langat, while sharing more about KLUST and its academic offerings through the Taklimat KLUST. It is through engagements like these that KLUST continues to connect with the wider education community, bringing together institutional engagement and opportunities for knowledge sharing.

Salam Maulidur Rasul 1448H / 2026M. The values we carry matter most in the way we treat others. This Maulidur Rasul, may we be reminded of the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ enduring example of compassion and humility, and of the difference these qualities can make in how we lead, learn, and live.

Salam Maulidur Rasul. From all of us at Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST).

Architecture doesn’t stop at the studio! From 19 to 21 August 2026, 12 Architecture students, accompanied by their lecturer from the Faculty of Architecture & Built Environment (FABE), took their learning to Taman Gelora, Kuantan, Pahang, for a Studio Design Site Study.

There was plenty to observe and learn from the site. But this experience went beyond architectural study. As part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with the Masjid Tanjung Api Committee, Kuantan, our students and lecturer also rolled up their sleeves to give back to the local community:
- Cleaning and improving the mosque surroundings
- Installing Malaysian flags in preparation for the upcoming Merdeka celebration
- Engaging and collaborating with the local community

The students also had the opportunity to present the Model of Masjid Tanjung Api, together with an architectural poster and their Measured Drawing Report Book, to the mosque committee. From observing a site to engaging with the people around it, the experience brought architecture closer to the real world, where learning, design, and community come together.

An international university is not defined simply by how many countries appear on a map. It is shaped by the people, experiences, and perspectives that come together within its community. Over the past week, KLUST’s International Marketing team connected with prospective students in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, while also visiting three schools in Mauritius to introduce students to opportunities for higher education in Malaysia.

The conversations were different in each setting, reflecting different aspirations, educational journeys, and cultural backgrounds. Yet they shared something important: a curiosity about learning beyond the boundaries of where we come from.

For students, studying at KLUST can mean being part of an environment where different cultures and perspectives naturally meet, whether through the people they learn alongside, the conversations they have, or the experiences they encounter beyond the classroom.

The KLUST team from the Centre for Foundation & General Studies and Marketing recently took part in the Program Eksplorasi Kerjaya dan Informasi Pendidikan at SMK Bandar Baru Seri Sendayan. From conversations about career aspirations to questions about university life, the programme gave us a chance to hear what students are curious about and what they are already thinking about for their next chapter.

At KLUST, we believe education is not simply about choosing a programme. It is about discovering where your interests can take you, building the knowledge to get there, and having the confidence to take the first step.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the KLUST booth, shared their aspirations, and kept the conversations going. And to SMK Bandar Baru Seri Sendayan, thank you for the warm welcome and for creating a meaningful space for these conversations. Who knows? Today’s question could be tomorrow’s career.

Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST) welcomed a delegation from Binzhou Vocational College of Science and Technology, China, for a strategic exchange on 19 August 2026.

The discussion went beyond institutional introductions. Both sides explored practical opportunities to deepen collaboration across technology, smart manufacturing, smart healthcare and elderly care, academic pathways, curriculum development, faculty exchange, and industry-academia partnerships. The exchange also highlighted the potential of industry-linked initiatives, including the Chery New Energy Vehicle Workshop project, as a platform for knowledge sharing and applied learning.

For KLUST, international partnerships are not simply about expanding networks. They are about creating meaningful pathways for students, faculty, and institutions to learn, innovate, and grow together. This conversation is another step toward building partnerships that turn shared expertise into tangible opportunities.

Our Architecture students from the Faculty of Architecture and Built Environment (FABE), Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST), earned 3rd Place in the Module Activity at the Architectural Students Workshop 2026, held at UiTM Puncak Alam from 15–18 August.

Competing alongside students from 20 universities nationwide, our 40 KLUST participants put their creativity, design thinking, and teamwork to the test through sketching, design development, model-making, and presentation.

Organised by Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), the national workshop provides a platform for architecture students to learn, collaborate, and push the boundaries of design. Congratulations to our students and lecturers on this achievement.
