KLUST x 2026 RCEP Huangshan Forum

At the 2026 RCEP Huangshan Forum, Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST) signed five major collaboration projects with prestigious universities and global industry partners, including Hefei University of Technology, Huawei, Haier COSMOPlat, Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology, and Anhui Vocational College of Police Officers.

These collaborations mark another significant milestone in strengthening Malaysia–China educational cooperation under the RCEP framework, further advancing academic exchange, talent development, innovation, and industry-academia partnerships.

🔖 KLUST x Anhui Radio Film & TV Media Industry Group

On 26 May 2026, KLUST Chairman Chen Xiaoyun led a delegation to visit Anhui Radio Film & TV Media Industry Group and attended the launch ceremony of the short drama Shining Nanyang.

Both parties held discussions on university-industry collaboration, AIGC media development, talent cultivation, and international education initiatives, further strengthening strategic cooperation.

The delegation also visited the integrated media hall and collaborative training facilities, where students showcased AIGC animation projects developed through industry-based training programmes.

KLUST x Southwestern State College Nepal

On 22 May 2026, Southwestern State College Nepal Assistant Campus Chief, Mr. Hari Singh KC, visited KLUST and met with President & Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ts. Dr. David Ngo, and Centre for Postgraduate Studies Dean, Professor Dr. Wei Hui Suan.

The visit was coordinated by the Partnership & Special Projects Office as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic collaboration between both institutions.

During the meeting, both institutions discussed potential collaborations in academic exchange, research, conferences, internships, and student mobility programmes, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening international academic partnerships and global engagement in higher education.

KLUST x Malaysia Digital Minister | AI & Digital Future

Malaysia’s Minister of Digital, Gobind Singh Deo, met with KLUST Chairman Prof. Chen Xiaoyun and delegation on 15 May 2026 to discuss AI talent development and digital transformation.

Minister Gobind Singh Deo shared Malaysia’s vision of becoming an “AI Nation”, emphasizing that AI should benefit society and encouraging KLUST to offer more AI and digital skills programmes for the public.

Prof. Chen Xiaoyun stated that KLUST will actively support Malaysia’s digital transformation agenda through AI education, digital skills training, and international industry-academia collaboration, with the vision of becoming a leading technology university in Malaysia and ASEAN — the “Stanford of Malaysia.”

2026年5月15日，马来西亚数字部部长哥宾星会见吉隆坡科技大学董事局主席陈孝云教授一行，共同探讨AI人才培养与数字化发展。

哥宾星表示，马来西亚正积极迈向“AI Nation”，希望人工智能真正走进人民生活，并鼓励吉科大进一步开设更多AI与数字技能相关课程，提升全民AI素养。
