In a sparkling moment of academic synergy, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) through its Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (FKAB) inked a landmark Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Urgench State University Named After Abu Rayhan Biruni, Uzbekistan.
The prestigious signing ceremony was graced by Y.Bhg. Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Sharifudin Md Shaarani, USIM’s Vice Chancellor and Madraximova Feruza Ruzimbayevna, UrSU’s Rector along with distinguished delegates from both sides. Greeted with warm enthusiasm, the event pulsed with excitement for shared futures.
This venerable Uzbek institution, named after the legendary polymath Abu Rayhan Biruni, excels in engineering, natural sciences, information technology, and sustainable development—drawing on Central Asia’s rich legacy of innovation to offer cutting-edge programs that resonate globally.
With eyes on revolutionizing engineering education and research, the MoA spotlights thrilling collaborations including joint projects in sustainable built environments, smart technologies, faculty and student exchanges, co-developed workshops, and benchmarked curricula—spearheaded by USIM’s FKAB. Our Vice Chancellor beamed with pride, applauding Urgench State University’s bold initiatives and eagerly anticipating these joint adventures kicking off soon.
