Who are the “Women of Pure Buddhist Faith”? This talk explores the history and lived experiences of vegetarian nuns in Singapore and Malaysia, focusing on their networks of piety, women’s mutual support, oral memories, and vegetarian traditions. It also examines how gender, migration, kinship, and Buddhist networks have shaped the development of Chinese Buddhism in Southeast Asia.

昨日，研究顧問有燈法師受邀前往雪邦佛教會，爲即將舉辦青少年佛學營的博大佛學會社服組幹部提供營前指導，協助大家做好準備。

有燈法師以「四無量心」爲主題，提醒營隊幹部在陪伴青少年的過程中，應關注他們內心被看見、被接納與被歸屬的需求。成爲青少年成長路上的陪伴者與同行者，是佛學營工委最重要的使命與責任。

「慈」是給予溫暖，讓青少年感受到支持；「悲」是用心關注他們的需要，願意停下來傾聽與陪伴；「喜」是真誠欣賞並讚嘆青少年的成長與進步；「捨」則是在陪伴過程中保持平等與包容，不執着於結果。

願工委們都能以慈悲與智慧，陪伴青少年在學習佛法的旅程中成長。

Yesterday, Researcher Adviser Venerable You Deng was invited to Sepang District Buddhist Society to provide guidance to the committees of the UPM Buddhist Society in preparation for their upcoming Youth Buddhist Camp.

Using the theme of the “Four Immeasurable Minds”, Venerable You Deng highlighted that young people have the fundamental needs to be seen, accepted, and to feel a sense of belonging. Becoming companions and supporters in the journey of youth development is the most important mission and responsibility of the committee member.

“Loving-kindness” means bringing warmth and care to help young people feel supported; “Compassion” means being attentive to their needs, taking time to listen, and offering guidance; “Joy” means sincerely appreciating and encouraging their growth; and “Equanimity” means accompanying them with patience and acceptance without being attached to specific outcomes.

May every committee member continue to accompany young people with compassion and wisdom, creating a meaningful and supportive environment for their journey of learning and growth.
