๐ KOMAD Connect: Connecting Classrooms, Cultures and Communication ๐ฒ๐พ๐ฏ๐ต
On 22 July 2026, 24 students from TESL A, PISMP TESL 2025โ2030 had the opportunity to connect virtually with 14 freshmen from Dokkyo University, Japan, as part of KOMAD Connectโan extension programme of KOMAD.
The engagement provided an exciting platform for our students to enhance their English communication skills while discovering and appreciating each otherโs cultures. Through a series of interactive online activities, students introduced themselves, shared experiences, explored cultural similarities and differences, and engaged in meaningful conversationsโall while using English as the medium of communication.
Beyond the live interactions, students also responded to activities through Padlet and exchanged social media platforms such as Instagram, allowing them to continue their connections beyond the session.
More than just an online engagement, KOMAD Connect is about creating meaningful connections across borders, building confidence in communication, and encouraging our future educators to see English as a bridge between people and cultures. ๐โจ
A meaningful step towards a more connected and culturally aware learning community. ๐ฒ๐พ๐ค๐ฏ๐ต
