The faculty is prepared to meet the nation's needs of the competitive and competent pharmacists and personnel in pharmaceutical sciences to serve the public and private sectors. This job area is considered critical by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher Education. Apart for teaching, the Faculty of Pharmacy is also engaged in research and pharmacy services. The Faculty of Pharmacy is

also working closely with other institutions at national and international levels. Main activities of the faculty take part at the Kuala Lumpur Campus and clinical activities make use of the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (PPUKM) located in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras. Our Vision:

Our students participate in hands-on experiential learning alongside our strategic international partners, exploring global educational opportunities and gaining key insights into pharmacy practice around the world. ๐Ÿ’Š๐ŸŒ

We are thrilled to announce that another 22 of our undergraduate students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, have embarked on their exciting journeys across Southeast Asia for the Cross-Border Educational Expedition, Outbound Mobility 25/26!

Pada 11 Ogos 2026, Pusat Pengurusan Kualiti Ubat-Ubatan (CQMM), Fakulti Farmasi telah berjaya menganjurkan satu bengkel hibrid bertajuk โ€œArtificial Intelligence in Clinical Pharmacy โ€“ From Prompt to Patient Careโ€.

Bengkel satu hari ini telah disertai oleh 31 orang peserta dan dikendalikan oleh dua orang pensyarah farmasi klinikal, iaitu Prof. Dr. Mohd Makmor Bakry dan Dr. Shamin Mohd Saffian.

Penggunaan kecerdasan buatan dalam bidang kesihatan semakin berkembang dan berpotensi memperkukuh proses membuat keputusan klinikal, penyelidikan serta penyampaian penjagaan berasaskan bukti. Justeru, penguasaan AI yang betul dan bertanggungjawab merupakan satu kemahiran penting bagi profesional kesihatan masa kini.

On 11 August 2026, Centre for Quality Management of Medicines (CQMM), Faculty of Pharmacy successfully organised a full-day hybrid workshop entitled โ€œArtificial Intelligence in Clinical Pharmacy โ€“ From Prompt to Patient Care.โ€

The workshop was attended by 31 participants and was conducted by two clinical pharmacy lecturers,Prof. Dr. Mohd Makmor Bakry and Dr. Shamin Mohd Saffian.

The use of artificial intelligence in healthcare continues to evolve and has the potential to strengthen clinical decision-making, research and evidence-based patient care. Therefore, developing the knowledge and skills to use AI appropriately, effectively and responsibly is becoming increasingly important for healthcare professionals today.

Pada 6 Ogos 2026 (Khamis) yang lalu, Fakulti Farmasi Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) telah menerima kunjungan delegasi daripada Manila Central University, Filipina bagi sesi lawatan dan perbincangan berhubung potensi kolaborasi antara kedua-dua institusi.

Pertemuan ini menjadi platform untuk bertukar pandangan, berkongsi pengalaman serta meneroka peluang kerjasama dalam bidang pendidikan, penyelidikan, pembangunan akademik dan jaringan profesional.

Fakulti Farmasi UKM ingin mengucapkan setinggi-tinggi tahniah kepada Toh Chin Chiang atas kejayaan beliau dipilih sebagai penerima UK-MUC Early Career Researcher (ECR) Travel Grant Scheme 2026 .

Daripada 118 permohonan pelajar universiti di Malaysia, hanya 2 yang berjaya dianugerahkan dan salah satunya membawa nama UKM.

Beliau akan membuat lawatan penyelidikan ke University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom dengan geran bernilai ยฃ3,000.

Ini bukan sekadar anugerah. Ini pengiktirafan terhadap potensi, kerja keras, dan kepercayaan bahawa penyelidik muda Malaysia layak berdiri di pentas antarabangsa.

Out of 118 applications from university students across Malaysia, only two were selected to receive the award and one of them proudly represented UKM.

Toh Chin Chiang will be visiting University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom, supported by a grant worth ยฃ3,000.

This is more than an award. It is recognition that young Malaysian researchers belong on the international stage.
