This audit aims to verify the undergraduate examination workflow — from exam paper preparation to result processing — as part of IIUM’s initiative towards achieving ISMS ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification by the end of this year.

We kindly seek the full cooperation of all relevant departments, academic staff, and administrative personnel involved in the undergraduate examination process. Please ensure all necessary documentation and evidence of compliance are prepared for review by the internal audit team.

Dear IIUM Community,

As part of IIUM’s continuous effort to strengthen digital cybersecurity, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for HURIS (Human Resource Information System) will officially go live on:

✅ MFA verification will be mandatory for all HURIS access starting from the go-live time.

If you have already activated MFA for Microsoft 365 or the IIUM Staff Portal, no further setup is required. Your existing authentication method (Microsoft Authenticator / Google Authenticator) will be used automatically.

🔐 FINAL COUNTDOWN: MFA for HURIS Goes Live on 18 May 2026 🔐

Dear IIUM Community,

As part of IIUM’s continuous effort to strengthen cybersecurity and protect sensitive personnel data, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will officially be implemented for the Human Resource Information System (HURIS).

📌 System: HURIS
📅 Date: 18 May 2026 (Monday)
🕛 Time: 12:00 PM onwards

✅ MFA verification will be mandatory for all users accessing HURIS starting from the go-live date and time.

💡 If you have already configured MFA for Microsoft 365 or the IIUM Staff Portal, no further setup is required. Your existing authentication method (such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator) will be used automatically.

📍 MFA Clinics will be available across all IIUM campuses from 8 – 18 May 2026 to assist staff with setup and troubleshooting.

UPDATE: Partial Network Restoration at KOE & ICC

Dear IIUM Community,

Network services at the Kulliyyah of Engineering (KOE) and IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC) have been successfully restored as of 11:00 AM on 29 April 2026 through a temporary solution.

The connection is currently stable, though operating at reduced capacity. Full restoration will be carried out once the procurement approval process is completed.

Further to the ongoing network disruption at the Kulliyyah of Engineering (KOE) and IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC), our technical team has identified the root cause as a fiber cable cut.

Repair works are currently underway and will require additional time for full restoration. We are working closely with the relevant parties to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
