Outbound Mobility Programme to MK Nextwave International Music Camp 2026 at Yeoncheon, South Korea
The Faculty of Creative Arts is proud to celebrate our students' participation in Week 2 of the MK Nextwave International Music Camp 2026 Week 2, an international platform that brings together emerging pianists, distinguished performers, and renowned educators from around the world. The camp featured masterclasses, open lessons, concerts, and competitions led by an international faculty. This faculty included the Deputy Dean of Postgraduate, Research & Innovation, Dr. Mohd Fairuz Zamani, who was invited to serve as a faculty member.
Representing the Faculty through the Outbound Mobility Programme were Wong Jia Chun (Bachelor of Music), Huang Xirong (Master of Performing Arts (Music)), and Liang Yikeng (PhD)
Their participation provided valuable opportunities for artistic growth, international networking, and engagement with leading musicians from across the region and beyond.
As part of the visit, Dr. Mohd Fairuz Zamani presented a commemorative plaque from the Faculty of Creative Arts to Mi Kyung Kim, the President of DMZ International Piano Society and Chair of the MK Group, as a gesture of appreciation. This meaningful exchange signifies the strengthening of international academic and artistic ties, while opening avenues for future collaboration between the Faculty of Creative Arts, DMZ International Piano Society, and the MK Nextwave International Music Camp.
We extend our sincere appreciation to MK Group and the camp organisers for their warm hospitality and commitment to nurturing excellence in music education and performance. We look forward to continued collaboration and future opportunities for our students and faculty on the international stage.
