情人节，又称圣瓦伦丁节或圣华伦泰节，是西方国家的传统节日之一，起源于基督教。它坐落在每年公历的2月14日，是个如今已经成为全世界著名的浪漫节日。它是一个关于爱、浪漫以及花、巧克力、贺卡的节日，相当深受年轻男女孩喜爱。在这天，他们会精心打扮自己，赠送自己喜欢的人礼物以表达爱意或友好；也有情侣们更会在这一天向爱侣求婚。西方的情人节就犹如我们东方的七夕节，现今渐渐地已经成为中国传统节日之外的又一个重要节日。
Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. It originated as a Christian feast day honoring one or two early Christian martyrs named Saint Valentine and, through later folk traditions, has become a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world. It is a day which is widely regarded as the day of expressing love. On this day, people dress up meticulously and give their loved ones gifts. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm and ritual in the West as well as other parts of the world now.
