On 10 March 2023, IEM UCSI organized a "Industrial Chemistry For Kids". The STEM event was a thrilling display of knowledge, as the youths gathered to participate in the Alam Flora site visit and explore the UCSI lab, showcasing their passion for science and technology.

The event started with an industrial visit to Alam Flora and followed by a tour exploring the Advance Chemical Technology Lab and Advance Industrial Robotic Lab of UCSI. Few activities were conducted for the kids to create an exciting learning environment in science classroom such as the water filter. IEM UCSI welcome the arrival of the students and will continue to support future STEM activities in Malaysia.

Innovate Malaysia Design Competition (IMDC) is the largest design competition in Malaysia, open to all third-year or final-year degree engineering, computer science, IT, and science/mathematics students. The goal of the competition is to promote innovative culture in engineering design work, tackle real-world problems with practical engineering solutions, and churn out the brightest talents for product development, further research, and commercialization.

By joining the competition, participants will undergo free and relevant training on industry-recognized skills and domain knowledge of the participating competition track before implementing the competition project. This will equip participants with industry-recognized experiences valuable for their future careers. The competition tracks offered encompasses various industry domains from IC design, embedded systems, electronic design & test, IR4.0 applications, data analytics & AI, cloud, web and mobile applications, 5G & bandwidth-heavy applications.
