[CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UM TEAM FOR THE NUREMBERG MOOT COURT 2023]
UM Moot Club would like to express our heartiest congratulations on the UM team’s impressive performance in the Nuremberg Moot Court (Global Rounds) 2023 that was held physically in Nuremberg, Germany, from the 19th to 22nd July 2023.
UM Moot Club is proud to announce that the team representing our faculty and Malaysia managed to rank themselves in the Top 16. The team has also emerged as the Top 6 out of 149 teams for the memorials stage of the competition, which is truly commendable.
The team also ranked Top 2 for the preliminary round (Global Rounds) of the competition.
The team consists of:
1. Mr. Nishooldran A/L Ravindran
2. Ms. Cheryl Ng Wen Xuan
3. Ms. Rania Florian John Modoit
4. Ms. Snora A/P Munandai
Apart from that, Ms. Snora's eloquence earned her the Best Speaker award, while Mr. Nishool's impressive performance secured him the Second Best Speaker award in Preliminary Round 1.
Ms. Cheryl's outstanding skills shone through, earning her the Best Speaker award, and Ms. Rania's remarkable talent landed her the Second Best Speaker accolade in Preliminary Round 2.
Mr. Nishool continued to shine, claiming the Best Speaker award in the round of 16.
Additionally, this team would like to take this opportunity to express their immense gratitude to their coach, Mr. Nevyn Vinosh, for the excellent guidance which undoubtedly helped the team to thrive.
This team would also like to extend their appreciation to the Dean and Dr. Najwa, as well as the guest judges; Dr. Sheila, Dr. Manley, Ms. Saradha Lakshmi, Mr. Akhmal, Ms. Shasmeetha, and Ms. Celin Khoo, for their valuable insights and feedback that helped them grow.
