[CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UM TEAM FOR THE NUREMBERG MOOT COURT 2023]

UM Moot Club would like to express our heartiest congratulations on the UM team’s impressive performance in the Nuremberg Moot Court (Global Rounds) 2023 that was held physically in Nuremberg, Germany, from the 19th to 22nd July 2023.

UM Moot Club is proud to announce that the team representing our faculty and Malaysia managed to rank themselves in the Top 16. The team has also emerged as the Top 6 out of 149 teams for the memorials stage of the competition, which is truly commendable.

The team also ranked Top 2 for the preliminary round (Global Rounds) of the competition.

The team consists of:
1. Mr. Nishooldran A/L Ravindran
2. Ms. Cheryl Ng Wen Xuan
3. Ms. Rania Florian John Modoit
4. Ms. Snora A/P Munandai

Apart from that, Ms. Snora's eloquence earned her the Best Speaker award, while Mr. Nishool's impressive performance secured him the Second Best Speaker award in Preliminary Round 1.

Ms. Cheryl's outstanding skills shone through, earning her the Best Speaker award, and Ms. Rania's remarkable talent landed her the Second Best Speaker accolade in Preliminary Round 2.

Mr. Nishool continued to shine, claiming the Best Speaker award in the round of 16.

Additionally, this team would like to take this opportunity to express their immense gratitude to their coach, Mr. Nevyn Vinosh, for the excellent guidance which undoubtedly helped the team to thrive.

This team would also like to extend their appreciation to the Dean and Dr. Najwa, as well as the guest judges; Dr. Sheila, Dr. Manley, Ms. Saradha Lakshmi, Mr. Akhmal, Ms. Shasmeetha, and Ms. Celin Khoo, for their valuable insights and feedback that helped them grow. Dear all,

UM Moot Club would like to officially announce that Afiqah Che Endut has been chosen as the director for the 2023/2024 term following a voting process during the Annual General Meeting on June 3rd, 2023.

The current tenure extends its congratulations to Afiqah as the newly elected director and expresses well wishes for a successful tenure ahead.

Her commitment and passion have clearly made an impact, and we are thrilled to see her take on this important role. We have full confidence in her ability to lead with integrity and bring fresh ideas to the table.

[CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UM TEAMS FOR THE BORNEAN MOOT COURT COMPETITION 2023]

UM Moot Club would like to express our heartiest congratulations on the UM teams’ impressive performance in the Bornean Moot Court Competition 2023 that was held online from the 20th to 21st May 2023.

UM Moot Club is proud to announce that the teams representing our faculty has emerged as the Champion and the First Runner-Up for the competition.

The team that emerged as the Champion consists of:
1. Mr. Ching Jee Joo
2. Ms. Erica Wong Jia Chie
3. Ms. Samantha Guang Shin Yi

Apart from that, Mr. Ching Jee Joo has bagged the title of the Best Oralist for the Final Round and Ms. Erica Wong Jia Chie was crowned the Best Oralist for the Preliminary Round.

Additionally, this team would like to take this opportunity to express their gratitude to their coach, Ms. Rosemary Ting, for the excellent guidance which undoubtedly helped the team to thrive.

Dear all,

On behalf of UM Moot Club and UM Justech, we would like to take this opportunity to show our appreciation for all adjudicators who have taken some of their time off to sit in our competition rounds!

We would also like to congratulate all participants for their dedication towards this year's ICMC. We want you to know that regardless of the outcome, the key takeaway from this experience is the legal knowledge and advocacy skills that you have acquired.

We hope to see more new faces in our faculty's mooting scene and that this mooting culture to flourish in the years to come.

[INVITATION TO WATCH THE SEMIFINAL AND FINAL ROUNDS OF THE UM MOOT CLUB X UM JUSTECH INTERNAL CYBER LAW MOOT COMPETITION (ICMC) 2023]

Dear members of the faculty,

We are pleased to announce that this year's ICMC will commence soon!

On that note, we cordially invite members of the faculty to attend the Semi-Final Rounds and Final Rounds of the competition, which will be held this Sunday, 7th of May 2023.

The Semi-Final Rounds will be held from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at Moot Court B and Moot Court C.

The Final Rounds will be held from 2.15 p.m. to 4.15 p.m. at Moot Court A.
