As part of the upcoming English Language Debate Competition, UNITAR had the pleasure of hosting a debate coaching workshop in collaboration with JPWPKL, welcoming 70 secondary school representatives from across Kuala Lumpur.

Held at UNITAR, the workshop aimed to prepare students for a competition modelled after the prestigious ‘World Schools Debating Championship’ format. Participants explored key debate techniques, including:

🎤 Roles of the speakers
🧠 Topic preparation strategies
✍️ Structure and style of persuasive speech writing
🎯 Effective presentation and delivery

We were honoured by the presence of:

UNITAR had the honour of welcoming the talented students of SMK Changlun, Kedah for a campus visit and engagement day at our Main Campus in Kelana Jaya ⭐️

Travelling all the way from Kedah, a bus-full of form 5 students and teachers joined us for a tour of the campus and participated in exciting engagement activities with UNITAR staff. They learned more about UNITAR as an institution and the bright opportunities that await them here 😊

That’s exactly what 35 students got to experience last weekend! 🤩
UNITAR’s Student Experience team brought 35 local & international students to have a lovely day touring Kuala Lumpur! Visiting all the amazing spots including KLCC, Central Market, Bank Negara Museum, the Botanical Gardens, and more!! It was a treat for the international students and students from outside KL to experience our capital city!

The UNITAR Leadership Series continued its momentum with another highly impactful session, featuring the esteemed Vice-Chancellor Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dato' Sri Ir. Dr. Sahol Hamid Bin Abu Bakar. He captivated the audience with his compelling presentation, "Lessons from the Street," drawing on his vast experience to offer a refreshingly unconventional perspective on leadership and innovation.
Attendees were particularly engaged by his practical insights and relatable anecdotes, which illuminated the importance of adaptability and resourcefulness in navigating complex challenges. The session fostered a vibrant exchange of ideas, with insightful questions and discussions both in person and via Microsoft Teams, ensuring widespread participation and knowledge sharing.

We recently hosted 115 enthusiastic Form 5 students from SMK Lembah Keramat, SMK Taman Desa, and SMK Desa Petaling for our UNITAR’s KL Innovation Day! They got to experiment with sound engineering in our Music Laboratory, and explore the latest trends in Business Digital Transformation, guided by our expert lecturers from the Faculty of Business and Faculty of Education and Humanities.
