BAHIM (Bachelor of Halal Management) and minoring students stepped out of the management hall and straight into the lab! Despite coming from non-science backgrounds, these future industry leaders dove headfirst into the world of high-tech lab analysis during an exclusive INHART Lab Tour for their HART 1311 (Introduction to Halal Science) class.

The students got a firsthand look at advanced Halal authentication techniques. Understanding the science behind the screening processes ensures they will graduate as holistic managers who truly know the industry inside and out!

What an incredible weekend of innovation, ethics, and sustainability!

Last weekend (Saturday, 13th June & Sunday, 14th June 2026), our postgraduate students from the HART 7000 (Value, Ethics and Sustainability in Halal Industry) class took the stage for their intensive two-day Individual Final Project Presentations.

From 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM daily, our students didn't just presentโ€”they created a collective learning experience. By exploring the Halal ecosystem from multiple angles, every single project shed light on how Islamic values, modern technology, and sustainability intersect in today's global market.

The diverse range of titles presented by our brilliant students bridged theory and real-world impact across four major themes:

โ€ข 1. Halal Integrity & Material Innovation: Research pushing the boundaries of compliance, including automated Sertu technology, alternative materials for medical devices (stoma bags), cosmetic ingredient transparency, and global halal certification awareness.

โ€ข 2. Sustainability & The Circular Economy: Solutions tackling environmental responsibility, featuring zero-waste lab initiatives, domestic composting systems, industrial food waste reduction, and eco-friendly recycled logistics pallets.

โ€ข 3. Ethical Tech & Digital Well-being: Projects navigating the modern digital landscape, from EV charging infrastructure and smart applications (health and vehicle maintenance) to digital tax transparency and promoting digital detoxes among students.
