The Office of Security Management (OSeM) would like to take this opportunity to wish all staff, students, and the entire IIUM community:

As we approach the Eid al-Fitr holidays, OSeM reminds everyone to remain vigilant regarding safety and security. Before you head off for your 'Balik Kampung' journey, please take the following necessary precautions:

Safety & Security Checklist
1. Personal Belongings: Never leave your valuables or personal belongings unattended at any time or place.
2. Secure Storage: Keep valuables locked in a drawer or a designated secure area.
3. Locking Up: Always secure your office or room doors, even if leaving for a short period. Please ensure you use manual or secondary locks for added security.
4. Strangers: Do not leave strangers unattended in your office or room.
5. Final Check: Before leaving the office for the holiday break, double-check that all doors and windows are securely locked (using secondary locks where necessary).
6. Energy Saving: Switch off all electrical appliances, including computers, air-conditioning units, and lights.
7. Vehicle Safety: Park motorcycles and motorcars in designated parking zones within clear public view. Ensure all vehicles are double-locked.

PENGUMUMAN KESELAMATAN & SECURITY SEMPENA AIDILFITRI 1447H

Kami dari Pejabat Pengurusan Keselamatan (OSeM) ingin mengambil kesempatan ini untuk mengucapkan kepada semua Kakitangan, Pelajar, dan seluruh Warga IIUM:

Menjelang cuti Hari Raya Aidilfitri yang bakal tiba, Pejabat Pengurusan Keselamatan (OSeM) ingin mengingatkan semua pihak agar sentiasa berwaspada mengenai aspek keselamatan. Sila ambil langkah berjaga-jaga seperti berikut sebelum pulang ke kampung ('Balik Kampung'):

Senarai Semak KeselamatanBarangan Peribadi:
1. Jangan sesekali meninggalkan barangan berharga atau peribadi tanpa pengawasan di mana-mana tempat atau pada bila-bila masa.
2. Simpanan Selamat: Simpan barangan berharga di dalam laci berkunci atau kawasan yang selamat.
3. Kawalan Pintu: Pastikan pintu pejabat atau bilik sentiasa dikunci walaupun ditinggalkan dalam tempoh yang singkat. Gunakan kunci manual atau kunci tambahan untuk tujuan keselamatan.
4. Orang Luar: Jangan biarkan orang yang tidak dikenali berada bersendirian di dalam pejabat atau bilik anda.
5. Pemeriksaan Akhir: Sebelum meninggalkan pejabat untuk cuti panjang, pastikan semua pintu dan tingkap telah dikunci dengan rapi (gunakan kunci tambahan jika perlu).
6. Penjimatan Elektrik: Matikan semua peralatan elektrik seperti komputer, unit penyaman udara, lampu, dan sebagainya.
7. Keselamatan Kenderaan: Letakkan kenderaan (motosikal & kereta) di tempat letak kereta yang disediakan. Pastikan kenderaan dikunci dua kali (double lock) dan berada di kawasan yang mudah dilihat oleh orang awam.

OSEM IIUM Launches 2026 Ihya Ramadhan Program, Emphasizes Culture of Infaq & Sedeqah

GOMBAK, Feb 20 – The Office of Security Management (OSEM) of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) successfully held the opening ceremony for the 2026 Ihya Ramadhan Program at the OSEM Meeting Room today.

The event was attended by 30 member of IIUM Auxiliary Police officers from various units. The program serves as spiritual preparation for the personnel ahead of the upcoming holy month of Ramadhan 1447H.

Key Highlights
The event featured a talk titled "Ramadhan: The Best Time to Nourish the Soul through Infaq & Sedeqah (Charity)," delivered by the Director of OSEM, ASP PB Shahrul Ariffin bin Maskuri. The Director emphasized the importance of charity and community service as vital ways to purify the soul and increase piety (taqwa) during the holy month. As an annual initiative, this program ensures that the spiritual well-being of security personnel is prioritized alongside their core duties of maintaining campus safety.

The ceremony concluded with a collective commitment from the officers to enhance both their personal worship and the quality of their service throughout the upcoming fasting month.

OSEM UIAM Lancar Program Ihya Ramadhan 2026, Tekan Budaya Infaq & Sedeqah.

OSEM GOMBAK, 20 Feb – Pejabat Pengurusan Keselamatan (OSEM) Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM) telah berjaya mengadakan Majlis Perasmian Program Ihya Ramadhan 2026 bertempat di Bilik Mesyuarat OSEM, hari ini.

Majlis yang penuh keberkatan ini telah dihadiri oleh seramai 30 orang anggota Polis Bantuan UIAM daripada pelbagai unit. Program ini bertujuan sebagai persediaan rohani buat para anggota dalam menyambut kedatangan bulan Ramadhan 1447H tidak lama lagi.

Acara dimulakan dengan Ceramah Perdana bertajuk "Ramadhan: Masa Terbaik Menyuburkan Jiwa dengan Infaq & Sedeqah" yang disampaikan sendiri oleh Pengarah OSEM, YDH ASP PB Shahrul Ariffin bin Maskuri. Dalam perkongsiannya, beliau menekankan kepentingan amalan bersedekah dan membantu komuniti sebagai cara terbaik untuk membersihkan jiwa dan meningkatkan ketakwaan sepanjang bulan suci tersebut.

Program Ihya Ramadhan ini merupakan aktiviti tahunan OSEM bagi memastikan kebajikan spiritual anggota keselamatan sentiasa terjaga di samping menjalankan tugas hakiki menjaga keselamatan kampus. Majlis diakhiri dengan azam para anggota untuk meningkatkan kualiti ibadah dan penyampaian perkhidmatan sepanjang bulan Ramadhan akan datang.

OSEM INDUCTION COURSE NO. 1/2026
27 February – The Office of Security Management (OSEM) IIUM successfully organized the OSEM Induction Course No. 1/2026 from 22 - 25 February 2026. The program involved four (4) newly appointed personnel for the position of Security Assistant (Grade KP1).

Program Objectives
The course was specifically designed to provide comprehensive exposure to new members regarding:

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP):
Ensuring all security duties are executed in accordance with the university's official guidelines.

Ethics & Integrity:
Instilling core values and high levels of discipline in upholding the organization's security mandate.

Competency Development:
Strengthening physical and mental performance to effectively meet challenges in the field.

Impact of Training
Through this intensive program, participants are expected to seamlessly adapt to the IIUM work culture and provide high-quality security services for the wellbeing of the campus community.

The OSEM management extends its congratulations to all participants. We wish you the very best as you begin your career and dedicated service to the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and specifically to OSEM Gombak.

Kursus Induksi OSEM Bil. 1/2026

27 Februari – Pejabat Pengurusan Keselamatan (OSEM) UIAM telah berjaya menganjurkan Kursus Induksi OSEM Bil. 1/2026 bermula 22-25 Februari 2026 yang melibatkan seramai empat (4) orang anggota baharu bagi jawatan Pembantu Keselamatan (Gred KP1).

Objektif Program

Kursus ini dirangka khusus untuk memberikan pendedahan komprehensif kepada anggota baharu mengenai:

Prosedur Operasi Standard (SOP):
Memastikan setiap tugasan keselamatan dijalankan mengikut garis panduan rasmi universiti.

Etika & Integriti:
Penerapan nilai-nilai murni dan disiplin tinggi dalam memikul amanah keselamatan organisasi.

Pembangunan Kompetensi:
Memantapkan prestasi kerja fizikal dan mental bagi menghadapi cabaran di lapangan.

Impak Latihan
Melalui program intensif ini, para peserta diharapkan dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan budaya kerja di UIAM serta mampu memberikan perkhidmatan kawalan keselamatan yang berkualiti tinggi demi kesejahteraan warga kampus.

Pengurusan OSEM mengucapkan syabas dan tahniah kepada semua peserta. Selamat maju jaya dalam memulakan kerjaya dan berkhidmat bakti di Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM) dan OSEM Gombak khususnya.
