Coastal areas are the lifeblood of communities, economies and ecosystems — yet they are increasingly exposed to development pressures, climate change and environmental degradation.

Strengthen your expertise through the Master of Management (Integrated Coastal Zone) programme offered via Open & Distance Learning (ODL) at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).

Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) Students at MICPA Student Councillor Programme

Date: 8 August 2026 | Saturday
Venue: Menara Alliance Bank, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur

Two (2) Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) students from UMT participated in the MICPA Student Councillor Programme: Orientation & Appreciation Day 2026, joining fellow Student Councillors from universities across Malaysia for a meaningful day of networking, learning and professional development.

The MICPA Student Councillors from UMT are :
1) AHMAD ERFAN BIN MOHD BADRU ISHAM
2) MOHAMMAD YUSRI BIN MOHD FAUZI

They were introduced to the roles and responsibilities of MICPA Student Councillors and the importance of representing and promoting the accounting profession among our members. They gained valuable insights into the MICPA × CA ANZ Future Focused Programme, particularly its open-book assessment approach, which focuses on understanding, analysing and applying knowledge rather than memorisation. A standout moment of the programme was the insightful address by the MICPA Chief Executive Officer, who emphasised that the role of a Student Councillor extends beyond advocating the qualification. It's about igniting ambition, empowering peers and encouraging them to discover limitless possibilities within the accounting profession.

The students appreciate the full support from FPEPS and UMT, for their support towards these valuable opportunities and experience!
