SITE VISIT & TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT

A technical inspection and site assessment were recently conducted at the water dam area to evaluate structural integrity, review current safety measures, and map out accessible routes.

Key focus areas included technical aspects, safety, and route access. These efforts are vital to ensure structural safety and mitigate any risks that might occur in the future.

The Office of the Campus Director recently concluded Ibadah Camp 2026, centered on the theme “Contemporary Realities in Muslim Societies & Our Islamic Responsibilities.”

The program served as a valuable platform for participants to reflect on modern societal challenges, strengthen spiritual values, and realign their efforts towards Ummatic Excellence.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year’s Ibadah Camp a fulfilling and memorable experience.

10 Aug - The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Kuantan Campus marked a new sports milestone today with the soft launch of its newly resurfaced pickleball courts at Mahallah Fatimah Az-Zahra (MFAZ).

The facility was officially launched by the Campus Director, Prof. Dr. Jamalludin Ab Rahman.

Organised by the MFAZ management, the event aims to introduce fast-growing sports to the campus community while promoting an active lifestyle among students and staff.

The upgrading and resurfacing of the courts, along with the addition of dedicated pickleball lines, were fully assisted and supported by Sasaran Etika Sdn Bhd as part of its support towards university infrastructure development. The concessionaire was represented by its Senior Executive (Concession), Mr. Jaffreen Jaafar.

Following the launch, an introductory pickleball session was held for members of the campus community, complete with coaching demonstrations and equipment provided for the pickleball starters.

We hope this sports facility will serve as a beneficial platform for students and staff to remain active and build a stronger campus community together.

The Counselling and Career Services Department (CCSD), in collaboration with the Office of the Campus Director (OCD) and the Management Services Division (MSD), successfully organised the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Course on 27–28 July 2026 at IIUM Kuantan. The two-day certification course was facilitated by trainers from the Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA).

The programme equipped selected academic staff with the knowledge and practical skills to recognise early signs of mental health problems, provide appropriate initial support, and facilitate timely referrals to professional mental health services.
