The Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (DASLP), IIUM, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Dr. Ahmad Aidil Arafat bin Dzulkarnain, Dean of Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences (KAHS), on his reappointment as a member of the Jawatankuasa Teknikal Bersama (JTB), Majlis Profesion Kesihatan Bersekutu Malaysia (MPKBM) for the 2026–2029 session, representing the Council of Deans of Health Sciences of Public Universities.

This appointment reflects his continued commitment and dedication to advancing the Allied Health Professions in Malaysia.

The Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (DASLP), extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Marina L. Alisaputri @ Marina Binti Lamri on receiving the IIUM Product Innovation & Commercialisation Award for the commercialised product "Bisyllabic Malay Speech Audiometry (BMSA)", developed in collaboration with Demant Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

The award was presented during IIUM Takrim 2026, held at the KAED Main Auditorium, IIUM Gombak, on 6 August 2026.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗼𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗜 𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗞𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗸 𝗦𝗶 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝘆

On 22 July 2026, the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (DASLP) participated in the Program Pendayaan Komuniti UniMADANI bersama Klinik Bergerak Si Elly held at SK Felda Panching Utara, Kuantan.

As part of the programme, our staff and students provided hearing and speech screening services for kindergarten children and primary school pupils, supporting the early identification of hearing and communication concerns. The initiative also aimed to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and timely intervention in promoting healthy hearing and communication development.

A warm welcome to Sr. Nik Nor Haramaini Nik Abdul Ghani, who joins the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (DASLP), IIUM as our new Speech-Language Therapist.

𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗦𝘀𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

AudiSsy Family Day 2026, held on 5 April 2026 at KSET Pantai Anak Air, was successfully organised by the Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology Students’ Society (AudiSsy).

The programme brought together students and staff in a relaxed and engaging environment, featuring various activities including fun games, potluck, and outdoor recreation. The event served as a meaningful platform to strengthen bonds and foster a sense of community within DASLP.

The Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (DASLP), IIUM extends its appreciation to the organising committee and all participants for making this programme a memorable and enjoyable experience.
