The Kulliyyah of Pharmacy (KOP) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is currently hosting its annual Ibadah Camp 2026 from 17 to 18 September 2026 at the IIUM Kuantan Campus. Guided by the timely theme, "Contemporary Realities in Muslim Societies and Our Islamic Responsibilities," this two-day retreat empowers pharmacy professionals and university staff to bridge the gap between sacred Islamic traditions and modern socio-political realities. The event features a vibrant, interdisciplinary gathering of 91 academics and staff spanning KOP, IKOP Sdn. Bhd., the Kulliyyah of Dentistry, and the Kulliyyah of Sciences.

Throughout the camp, participants are exploring the integration of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with Islamic outreach, the application of Maqāsid As-Syar’iyyah, and pathways for navigating social diversity. These complex contemporary issues are anchored by invaluable insights from esteemed guest speakers, including Mdm. Nur Amirah Sidek from UNIQSAAS, Prof. Ibrahim Adam Ahmed Shogar (Kulliyyah of Science), and Ustaz Muhammad Alif Zainuddin (Centre for Foundation Studies, IIUM).

Balancing intellectual discourse with deep spiritual devotion, the itinerary includes dedicated slots for soul purification (Tazkiyyah al-Nafs), collective Tajwid and Tafsir clinics, congregational prayers, and evening spiritual recitations at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque. Combined with structured team-building sessions, the event aims to foster workplace ethics, unity, and collaboration. By grounding professional conduct within the prophetic mission of universal mercy (Rahmatan lil β€˜Δ€lamin), KOP continues to nurture socially resilient Muslim leaders capable of serving a pluralistic world with compassion and justice.
