PSEG Fkksa UMP Process Systems Engineering Group (PSEG) is a research group for advanced research in modelling, simulation, design, control and optimization.

Process systems engineering group (PSEG) is one of the research groups established in FKKSA. Our work mainly focuses on the design, operation, control and optimization of chemical, physical, and biological processes through the aid of systematic computer-based methods. Consists of young, talented and experience members we are committed to meet the challenges in process systems engineering (PSE) to create a more sustainable development especially in chemical and biochemical related industries.

Process Systems Engineering & Safety (ProSES) or formerly known as PSEG in collaboration with MyPCS would like to invite you to the Malaysia Process Control Seminar (MPCS) 2018 at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Gambang Campus on the 5th December 2018.

The organizing committee is gearing up for an exciting and informative seminar program. Confirmed keynote sessions are from BASF-PETRONAS Chemical, PETRONAS GTS, UTM and USM. We are also having forum, panel discussion as well as student workshop.

Postgraduate Opportunity (MSc/PhD)

Title : CONTROL AND OPERABILITY STUDY OF DIVIDING WALL COLUMN (DWC) FOR SEPARATION OF FATTY ALCOHOL/ACID IN OLEOCHEMICAL INDUSTRIES

Some interesting topic, but not limited to, are ready to be explore:-
- Dynamic model development using process simulators.
- Control structure analysis.
- Design and implementation of a process control system for the mini pilot plant.
- Operational study include start up and shut down procedure, water test and control system test and tuning.
- Data reconciliation optimization.
- Process model formulation for control limit analysis, model based control and optimization.

Those who are interested, you are eligible have the following incentives:-
- Scholarship/allowance available for PhD/Master/RA (RM 1000 to 2000 per month)
- Working area and computer workstation.

I am looking for potential postgraduate students for the following research projects:-

1. Experimental and theoretical studies of a diving wall column (DWC) for separation of high purity products in biodiesel production.

2. Control and operability study of DWC for separation of fatty alcohol/acid in oleochemical industry.

3. Sustainability assessment and decision making of hydrogen production.
