Today we have a CME Mock Viva presentation by PhD candidate Mustapha Ismail Radda from the Department of Physiology, USM. This mock viva serves as an important preparation for his upcoming viva voce. His research focus on the cardioprotective effects of gamma-oryzanol in high-fat diet and streptozotocin-induced type 2 diabetic rat models. We appreciate the guidance of his supervisors and value the constructive feedback that will help refine his final viva.

The Department proudly congratulates our PhD student, Mr Fazalda Annuar (Supervised by Dr. Liza Noordin), on his outstanding achievement in the 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition. Mr Fazalda secured Second Place at the PPSP level and emerged as the Champion at the USM level under the Science Category.

The Department is immensely proud of his success and wishes him all the best as he prepares to represent Universiti Sains Malaysia at the National 3MT Competition in July 2026.

May this remarkable achievement inspire continued excellence and even greater success in the future.
