DEMO SESSION: UV LASER CASSETTE PRINTER & DIGITAL SLIDE SCANNER

Program demonstrasi UV Laser Cassette Printer & Digital Slide Scanner yang diadakan pada 26 April 2026 di Makmal Patologi Oral, Pusat Pengajian Sains Pergigian, USM telah berjaya memberi pendedahan kepada peserta mengenai penggunaan teknologi terkini dalam pengurusan spesimen dan pendigitalan slaid histopatologi. Demonstrasi ini dibawakan oleh rakan kerjasama, Qube Scientific Sdn. Bhd. Peserta memperoleh pemahaman berkaitan fungsi, aplikasi serta kelebihan penggunaan peralatan tersebut dalam meningkatkan kecekapan kerja makmal, ketepatan pelabelan spesimen dan pengurusan data digital. Program ini turut membuka peluang kepada staf untuk menilai potensi pelaksanaan teknologi digital dalam menyokong proses diagnostik, pembelajaran serta penambahbaikan kualiti perkhidmatan makmal.

School of Dental Sciences, USM has signed a Collaboration Agreement with Sofea Medident Healthcare Sdn Bhd on 29th April 2026 at its Health Campus in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.

Thia partnership, aims to strengthen ties between academia and industry, particularly in dental science and health education. A key initiative under this agreement is the introduction of a Dental Assistant Certificate program designed to enhance practical skills, knowledge, and employability in the dental healthcare sector.

Both parties also plan to explore future collaborations in training, research, and expertise sharing. The initiative is expected to help produce skilled and industry-ready dental healthcare workers while benefiting students, professionals, and the wider community.
