Carbon dioxide is a major greenhouse gas that has a direct impact on global warming. It accelerates climate change with disastrous effects on our planet. Earlier this week, Yard released a list of celebrities with the largest carbon emission from their private jets. It’s no secret that public and important figures fly private and sometimes, it’s necessary for their own safety. With the rise of environmental consciousness, the public argues whether it is fair that we have to limit our carbon footprint such as buying sustainably made clothes and using plastic straws, while these figures causally take unnecessary flights that emit thousands of tonnes of carbon when they could have drove to the destination instead.

Gender discrimination describes the situation in which people are treated differently simply because they are male or female, rather than on the basis of their individual skills or capabilities. Even though the world has somehow become a better place with better education and awareness, whether you believe it or not, there is still injustice, unfairness, and discrimination happening in our society. The standard that society put us is mostly totally absurd, but still, people try to fit into that standard. This standard breaks people apart and creates injustice and insecurities due to the favouring of those that almost fit into their standard. We should break this so-called standard from becoming the norm in our daily life.

The “Buy & Donate” mug and tote bag sale organized by Bureau of EnE BIOS was a great success!🥳🥳

Today, a few committee members along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asma Abdullah, (Biomedicine Programme Chairperson) and Assoc. Prof. Dr Wan Amir Nizam (BIOS Advisor), delivered the pledged donation of 50% from the sale to Ronald McDonald House @ HUSM to accommodate families and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of pediatric patients currently receiving treatment in HUSM.

We thank everyone involved in the success of this sale, as well as our buyers for making this donation possible ❤️

On 26th May 2022, Acing your interview, the Do's and Don'ts 👨‍💼👩‍💼 of Career Development Series was successfully organized by BIOS Bureau Sport and Recreation (SnR) with more than 80 participants.

We are honoured to have Mr Law Eng Lim, the CEO cm founder of Revongen Corporation, to give us tips on how to ace our interviews✨. The wonderful, informational and interesting talk by Mr Law Eng Lim has made our participants gain spirit 💪 and prepare themselves to slay their future interviews.

On 25th May 2022, Life after graduation, What's next? talk of Career Development Series was successfully organized by BIOS Bureau Sport and Recreation (SnR) with more than 100 participants.

By having Dr. Kuan Chee Sian, founder and managing director of NeoGenix Laboratoire Snd Bhd, we gained lots of insights and opportunities that are awaiting us, fresh graduates. As an alumni of USM and an entrepreneur, Dr. Kuan Chee Sian has become a role model to all the participants and remarked to continue our hard work to beam through our journey.
