A meaningful milestone for the SEGi Entrepreneur Club as our participation in Our Local Eco Haven (OLEH) 2026 contributed to a Malaysia Book of Records achievement for “Most Preloved Vendor Booths in an Event.”

Held on 8 and 9 August 2026, the event brought together 328 vendors and was organised by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak (MYSED) and Kelab Belia Permata Halaman Kurung Sian, with the presence of YB Datuk Hajah Rubiah Wang.

As a preloved vendor, our students had the opportunity to step into a real business environment — from collecting and preparing items contributed by the SEGi community, to managing products, engaging with customers, working as a team, and handling the sales process.

SEGi College Sarawak would like to congratulate the student-debaters who had prepared hard to join the prestigious Sarawak Premier Cup Integrity Debate Competition 2026 that was jointly organized by Integrity and Ombudsman Unit of the Sarawak Premier Department and ‘Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka’ (“DBP”) on 10th to 11th August 2026 at Waterfront Hotel. Team B (led by Khaliq Qhairin) managed to proceed into quarter final after the preliminary round.

Both teams, Team A and Team B, obtained consolation prizes with cash prizes worth RM2,000 each team and each debater was awarded a certificate of appreciation and complementary reading materials sponsored by DBP. The teams also received a plaque of appreciation (per team) from the organizer for their participation in the debate competition.

This calls for a shout out to the following student-debaters from Faculty of Law!
