The UniKL Malaysian Spanish Institute (UniKL MSI) is a collaboration effort between the Malaysian Government and the Spanish Government. It is a project developed by MARA as an advanced technical institute to provid

e courses in the field of automotive manufacturing industry. UniKL MSI (formerly known as Malaysian Spanish Institute) started its operation at the temporary campus at Techno Center, Kulim Hi-Tech Park in August 2002 and moved to the main campus built on a piece of land approximately 39 acres, also in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kulim Kedah in December 2003 . UniKL MSI is established in response to the rapidly increasing demands of the industry for skilled professionals and to incorporate the most advanced technology in Automotive Engineering. The training programmes are taught in 5 specialties based on a combinationof theoretical training and practical application in UniKL MSI, supported by a period of complementary practise in companies using similar technology.

On 20 May 2026, UniKL MSI successfully organized the Industrial Round Table Discussion 2.0 (iRTD 2.0) as part of its initiative towards the development of the Electrical & Electronics (E&E) campus.

The program involved participation from various international and local industry representatives, including
1. Intel Product (M) Sdn Bhd;
2. Micron Technology (M) Sdn Bhd;
3. VAT Manufacturing (M) Sdn Bhd;
4. Aumovio Malaysia Sdn Bhd;
5. Schott Glass Malaysia Sdn Bhd;
6. Inokom Corporation Sdn Bhd;
7. ⁠UST Global Sdn Bhd;
8. Silterra Malaysia Sdn Bhd;
9. AMETEK Engineered Materials Sdn Bhd
10. and other industry partners.
The discussion focused on reviewing and obtaining feedback on the current programs offered by UniKL MSI, as well as gathering industrial input and recommendations towards the E&E campus initiative. Industry representatives also shared valuable insights on graduate competencies, future workforce requirements, and opportunities for collaboration in research, industrial training, and consultancy.

In parallel, an industrial talk titled *“Unstoppable: Cultivating the Mindset of Top-Tier Candidate”* was held and attended by more than 100 final-year students.

The session panelists are:

2. Panelist 2: Ir. Razman Ghazali from *HASS Consulting Engineers Sdn Bhd*
