Congratulations Team TaoFuFa!

During the Movement Control Order (MCO) period on 30th March until 14th April 2020, four Year 2 students of Bachelor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from FTMK (Quek Yao Jing, Kwong Tung Nan, Liew Kok Foo and Tang Li Ho), came together as a team named TaoFuFa to participate in the international event, called “Forkwell Coronavirus Hack”. The Forkwell Coronavirus Hack is a two-week online hackathon powered by Microsoft, MDEC, Crest and Runcloud, allows teams to compete by using technology in order to combat the viral outbreaks. The event is participated by 490 contestants and 412 contesting teams from 32 country origins (Australia, Azerbaijan, Cameroon, Canada, Croatia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Syria, Tunisia, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam and Yemen).

1st year student BITI, Aiman has assisted SMK Durian Tunggal in implementing the i-Garden Project.

The project has won a competition organized by the Petronas Foundation and will go to Chairman Circle level.

Astounding!

Malaysia Autonomous Vehicle Challenge (MAVeC'19) has taken place at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS). The tournament were joined by 36 teams from various universities and various backgrounds. The participants were mainly postgraduate students. UTeM have sent 2 teams (UTeM STiOS and UTeM A) to the tournament. UTeM STiOS is our first year students of Bachelor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence).

They both has exceed others expectation by entering the top 10 out of 36 teams! Even though members of UTeM STiOS are only first year, they are brave enough to face the challenge and made up to become the finalist.
