Associate Professor Dr. Sugumaran, Dean of the School of Management & Business at MILA University, was recently featured on Hainan TV’s programme Free Trade Port: Financial Perspectives.

During the interview, he shared insights on Malaysia’s tourism growth drivers, including policy consistency, tourism-consumption integration, duty-free strategies, and the role of national tourism campaigns in strengthening long-term destination branding.

The discussion also explored potential Hainan-Malaysia collaboration in areas such as multi-destination tourism, cruise and MICE tourism, medical tourism, education, and talent development.

This international feature reflects MILA University’s growing engagement in regional dialogue on tourism, business, and cross-border development.
