In order to understand the ways to prevent kidney disease, the factor that causes CKD should be known first. The risk factor that causes CKD is diabetes, obesity, kidney stone, high blood pressure, and aging. Warm Greetings to UCSI University Students!

Kidney transplants and Hemodialysis are two treatment options for kidney failure. A kidney transplant is surgery to give you a healthy kidney from someone else's body to replace the work your own kidney can no longer do. It is classified as living-donor and deceased-donor transplantation. On the other hand, Hemodialysis is a treatment where an artificial kidney (dialyzer) is used to purify your blood by removing waste products and excess fluid when your kidney is no longer healthy to work normally.
