Escaping the crowd for a quiet kind of morning. 🍃

Following our recent Semangkok hike, we kept things low-key and headed up to Bukit Choroco—a wonderfully quiet trail where you rarely run into anyone. Just 3 of us, pure peace, and a steady little workout: 5.6km with EG 651m

It’s been ages since I’ve had a morning this unhurried. We wrapped up the hike, rolled into KKB town for a slow, relaxing brunch, and naturally had to grab some of those famous local kaya puffs before heading home. 🥐☕

Smooth climb, perfect timing, and managed to escape the heavy downpour! 🌧️

Things got intense with a potential flash flood at Kem Lubuk Hantu, but we beat the rising river just in time. Finished strong in 9 hours! ⏱️💨

Gunung Chamah via Skomad (12–14 September 2026) complete. Sometimes, the true test of an expedition starts long before your boots even touch the dirt.

The 4WD ride in and out was definitely a bumpy, heart-pounding adventure just to reach camp. But once we hit the trails on Day 2, the climb was steady and straightforward with no technical difficulties.

Looking back, the hardest part wasn’t the mountain itself. It was surviving that wild 4WD journey! Grateful for a safe and memorable trip with the team. ✨
