🎉 Celebrating Success: From Final Year Project to Published Researchers!
We are incredibly proud to announce that Lui Zi Yi and Harriydra Sai, biomedical sciences students who graduated last year, have achieved an outstanding milestone by getting their final year project published in a journal! Their study also explored the adorable little creatures around University of Nottingham Malaysia, have you seen any of these cuties on campus before? 🐾💚
Their research, now available in early view, represents not just academic excellence but also the dedication, curiosity, and resilience needed to contribute meaningfully to the scientific community. You can read the early view of their article here:

FYP EXPERIENCE:
Lui Zi Yi: "Completing my FYP in Biomedical Science has been an incredibly meaningful and enriching journey. With the continuous guidance and support from my supervisor and task supervisors, I had the opportunity to experience both fieldwork and laboratory work. Deeply grateful for the mentorship provided throughout, and proud that this project has now resulted in a published research paper."
Harriydra Sai: "My time as an FYP student has been the most rewarding experience throughout my academic years. As part of my study on bats, I had to participate in fieldwork and venture into the forested areas of my campus. This shattered my belief that biomedical research projects have no place beyond the walls of laboratories, wherein they can be rather dynamic and interesting endeavours. While I was perfecting my technical skills involving molecular work, I also gained insight into new opportunities in the field of genetics, including NGS techniques. I am deeply grateful for the mentorship and guidance provided during my FYP, and feeling incredibly proud to have my research published."
This achievement is a wonderful example of how undergraduate research can make a real impact and sets a brilliant precedent for current and future students.
