CLOSING CEREMONY | SECOND SUMMER SCHOOL ON “BRAIN AND DISEASES” WITH PUTRA EXPERIENCE AND EDUTOURISM 2026
After almost two weeks of learning, laboratory sessions, community activities, cultural experiences, and unforgettable moments, we have come to the end of the Second Summer School on “Brain and Diseases” with Putra Experience and Edutourism 2026, held from 9 to 19 August 2026 at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
The programme brought together students from University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Australia, and UPM, creating meaningful opportunities for learning, knowledge exchange, friendship, and cultural experiences.
The Closing Ceremony, hosted by Dr. Melati as the emcee, began with a speech by Prof. Dr. Michael Ling King Hwa, Programme Chair, followed by the presentation of Summer School and Community Programme certificates by Prof. Dr. Barakatun Nisak, representing the Faculty, and iPUTRA certificates by Prof. Dr. Alyani Ismail, Director of iPUTRA.
A special video highlight also showcased the journey of our UniSQ students throughout their time at UPM, capturing their activities, visits, friendships, laughter, and memorable moments along the way.
The ceremony continued with sharing sessions from the UniSQ student representative and Dr. Lin Kooi Ong, UniSQ Coordinator. As a gesture of appreciation, Dr. Lin also presented souvenirs to Prof. Dr. Barakatun Nisak, representing the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Alyani Ismail.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to all participants, iPUTRA, academic staff, facilitators, UPM student volunteers, the organising committee, and everyone who contributed to making Summer School 2026 a meaningful and memorable experience.
Thank you, UniSQ, for the memories, friendships, and wonderful moments shared with us. We hope to welcome you back to UPM again in the future!
