Malaysia One Health University Network A National One Health networking partnership between Vet, Human & Environmental Health Institutions Thank you.

Welcome to the official page of the Malaysia One Health University Network. MyOHUN is a national network under the South East Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) founded in 2011. MyOHUN was initiated in 2012 and the network was built to promote the philosophy and spirit of One Health in working together to respond to new and emerging diseases. There are currently two national uni

versities that are core member universities of SEAOHUN namely University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The One Health Workforce - Next Generation project is funded by USAID and led by the UC Davis One Health Institute. It is implemented through a global consortium of partners including AFROHUN, SEAOHUN, Ata Health Strategies, Columbia University's ICAP Program, EcoHealth Alliance, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, and the University of
New Mexico's Project ECHO. The concept of One Health in Malaysia aims to forge collaborations between academicians, professionals, scientists and communities across sectors with the responsibility for health of humans, domestic animals and wildlife. MyOHUN's vision and mission are:

Vision - Fostering sustainable trans-disciplinary knowledge and capacity at the national level to respond to emerging and infectious and zoonotic diseases

Mission - To leverage the training, education and research capacities of the university network to build the skills, knowledge and attitude for one health leaders. This page serves to provide current information on the activities of MyOHUN and activities related to One Health by the national institutions. It is also to share information on the current developments on infectious and zoonotic diseases in Malaysia and globally. One this note we welcome postings in relation to One Health (subject to approval from admin).

Your Gateway to One Health Learning

Introducing Southeast Asia’s First Regional One Health Learning Platform

SEAOHUN proudly launches the Southeast Asia One Health Workforce Academies (SEAOHWA) — an innovative, regionally driven platform made possible through the generous support of USAID and Chevron, in collaboration with the University of California, Davis and SEAOHUN’s country members and regional partners.
As SEAOHWA grows, it will serve as a cornerstone of One Health education across Southeast Asia — empowering learners to prevent, detect, and respond to health threats through collaborative, competency-based learning.

SEAOHWA bridges learning gaps by offering accessible, flexible, and multilingual online education, tailored to the region’s unique needs. The platform currently features 22 free One Health courses in Khmer, Bahasa, Lao, Thai, Vietnamese, and English, covering key topics
such as:
✔️ One Health Principles and Concepts
✔️ Risk Communication
✔️ Integrated Health Surveillance Systems

Beyond the courses, SEAOHWA offers access to over 600 training materials, interactive tools, case studies, and more. The platform is open to students, educators, pre-service and in-service health professionals, and anyone passionate about advancing their One Health knowledge. Future updates will include a One Health career opportunities page and a regional expert database.
