πŸŒ±πŸ”¬ STEM Discovery Exhibition: Smart Sustainable Solution 2026 πŸ”¬πŸŒ±

On 10 June 2026, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), through the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, successfully conducted the **STEM Discovery Exhibition: Smart Sustainable Solution** at SK Jalan 3, Bandar Baru Bangi. The programme brought together **339 Year 6 pupils, 15 teachers, 7 UPM lecturers, and 57 UPM students** in an engaging and interactive STEM learning experience.

A total of **13 STEM exhibition booths** were designed and operated by UPM students, showcasing innovative ideas and sustainable solutions through demonstrations, hands-on activities, and interactive discussions. Through a structured Gallery Walk session, pupils had the opportunity to explore various STEM concepts and discover how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics can be applied to solve real-world challenges.

This year’s exhibition placed special emphasis on **sensor-integrated products and smart sustainable solutions**, highlighting how technology can contribute to safer, more efficient, and responsive environments.

Beyond inspiring young learners, the programme also provided valuable experiential learning opportunities for UPM students, enabling them to develop their communication, leadership, teamwork, and knowledge-transfer skills. The activity aligns with the objectives of **Service Learning Malaysia – University for Society (SULAM)**, which promotes meaningful engagement between universities and communities.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the management, teachers, and pupils of SK Jalan 3 for their warm cooperation and enthusiastic participation. We also thank all UPM lecturers and students whose dedication contributed to the success of this programme.

Together, we continue to nurture future generations of innovators and problem-solvers through STEM education.
