The School of Business and Economics, or Sekolah Perniagaan dan Ekonomi (SPE), was established in January 1974 as the fourth faculty in Universiti Putra Malaysia, in its original name, the Faculty of Resource Economics and Agribusiness. It was later renamed the Faculty of Economics and Management in 1997 before assuming its current name, the School of Business and Economics, in March 2020. We offer Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes that are highly rated in the country. In the 2022 QS World University Rankings by Subject, our subjects in Accounting & Finance, Business & Management Studies, and Economics & Econometrics were ranked in the top 200. Located in Serdang, Selangor, the School is a mere 27 km from the capital city of Kuala Lumpur and a short distance from the Federal Territory of Putrajaya.
