NEW Info: Bank Requirements for Dependent Application

(3-month bank statement with a balance of RM10,000)

New Dependent Requirements:

i. For students who have recently opened a bank account:

A 3-month local bank statement showing a balance of RM10,000, or a 3-month bank statement from the home country with the bank's stamp and the student's details in English.

ii. For students who previously had a local bank account but it is now frozen:

A 3-month local bank statement showing a balance of RM10,000, or a 3-month bank statement from the home country with the bank's stamp and the student's details in English.

iii. For new students arriving with a new dependent:

A 3-month local bank statement showing a balance of RM10,000, or a 3-month bank statement from the home country with the bank's stamp and the student's details in English.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear All UTM Staff and Students,

COMPLIANCE OF THE RENEWAL OF A STUDENT PASS BY THE MALAYSIAN IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT UPON EXPIRY.

Please be informed that effective 1st April 2023, International students having expired student passes more than three months at home country or inside Malaysia will not be permitted to renew their pass.

These students must submit a new application of eVisa Approval Letter (e-VAL) in order to obtain the student pass and visa upon arrival.

Those who enter Malaysia on or after 23th February 2023 with social visit or special pass are advised to exit Malaysia and apply for a new eVAL.

UTM International will continue to support your applications in this matter and comply with the Immigrations rules and regulations.

The UTM Internationalization Management System (Pass Renewal Module) is an online platform that allows students to submit renewal of student pass applications online without being physically present at the counter.

Please be informed that it is compulsory for all student pass renewal applications to be submitted and completed effective by 1 January 2023.
