Dear Parents, Students and Staff,

SISKL will be OPEN tomorrow, Monday, 19 October 2026.

The School will continue to monitor the haze situation and official guidance closely. As a precaution:

➡️ Students are strongly encouraged to wear face masks during periods of haze.
➡️ Nutrition Break 1 and Nutrition Break 2 (Lunch) will be moved indoors when appropriate.
➡️ Parents concerned about their child’s health may choose to keep their child at home.
➡️ Students kept home due to haze-related health concerns will not be marked as absent, provided parents inform the School.
➡️ Learning materials will be shared via Toddle for students learning from home.

The School will check the API again at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow. If the API reading is 200 or above, the campus will close and learning will move online. The School will communicate any changes promptly.

Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.

Warm regards,
Principal

What happens when we give old things a new purpose? Sustainability Week at SISKL showed that a little creativity can go a long way! 🌱✨

Students across all study levels explored sustainability in fun and hands-on ways, from an inspiring session on upcycling with guest speaker Ms. Maslisa, lecturer at Sunway University to taking on the challenge of creating their very own hats using recycled materials. 🎩♻️

Another productive week of creating, sharing and rethinking what we can do with the things we already have. 💚

Little feet, big hearts. ✨

Our Elementary students came together for a morning of smiles, encouragement and meaningful moments as they took part in the Terry Fox Run. 💙🏃‍♀️

More importantly, it was a beautiful reminder that when we come together, every little step can carry a little more meaning. 💙

What is it really like to live at SIS House? 👀

Beyond the rooms and shared spaces, SIS House is also a place where students can make friends, enjoy fun activities together and create lasting memories. ✨

With a dedicated residential team supporting students along the way, SIS House is more than just a place to stay. It’s a warm and safe home away from home. ❤️

The ELLSA Symposium 2026 proved to be a fulfilling day of conversations, shared ideas and new connections. 🌏📚

We were delighted to welcome fellow educators across the international school community who share a passion for supporting students and creating meaningful learning experiences. ✨

Because when educators come together, there is always something new to learn, share and take back to the classroom. 💙

Important Announcement: School Closure Due to Haze and Alternative Learning Arrangements

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

Following the instruction from Selangor State Education Department, schools in Selangor are required to close effective on Friday, 9 October 2026 to safeguard the health and well-being of students and staff. However, please take note that IGCSE and A Levels examinations will continue as scheduled.

During the school closure, teachers will be available online according to timetable allocations but lessons may be adjusted/adapted according to grade/year level, nature of study/lesson, and students’ attention span online. The temporary closure and alternative learning arrangements will remain in place until further notice, as instructed by Selangor State Education Department.
Please refer to further updates via Toddle regarding the alternative learning arrangements and updates.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritise the health, safety and well-being of our students and staff.

Best regards,
Richard Cherry

Meet Chai Xin Jie, a Year 9 Cambridge student who is also a Principal’s Scholarship recipient 🌟

Balancing academics with her love for badminton and piano, Xin Jie's approach is to manage your time, don’t overwork yourself, and embrace the mistakes along the way. Because sometimes, the journey matters just as much as the grades. 💙
