[Industrial Visit: SD Guthrie International Langat Refinery Sdn. Bhd]

On 17 July 2025, Taylor’s IChemE Student Chapter (TISC) organized an industrial visit to SD Guthrie International Langat Refinery Sdn. Bhd . As one of the world's leading sustainable palm oil players, SD Guthrie Berhad provided insightful sharing sessions. We not only learnt about the palm oil refineries, but were also given chance to know about career opportunities in the future.

A huge thank you to all the personnel for welcoming us with your warm hospitality and professionalism. Your generosity and expertise during the plant visit and experience sharing session have given us more detailed information on how the industry works.

👏We are delighted to introduce our esteemed speaker, Ms. Poh Chin Hui ! She will be sharing her insights on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which introduces sustainability and environmental impacts of a product through its entire life cycle.

✨Ms Chin Hui Poh holds a degree in Chemical with Environmental Engineering and continued her postgraduate studies with a Master’s in Science, Corporate Environment Management.

✨As a Product Sustainability Manager at PETRONAS, she has more than 10 years of experience in sustainability, and collaborated with several leading global companies.
