| 21 September | Lawatan CIDB Holdings ke RailX UTHM Damansara

RailX UTHM Damansara berbesar hati menerima kunjungan daripada CIDB Holdings bagi sesi lawatan dan pengenalan kepada fasiliti serta ekosistem latihan yang tersedia di Pusat Latihan RailX dan Pejabat Korporat RailX.

Sepanjang lawatan, rombongan berpeluang meninjau kemudahan seperti auditorium, bilik latihan, ruang terbuka serta kemudahan landasan kereta api, yang boleh dimanfaatkan bagi pelaksanaan latihan teknikal, seminar, bengkel, demonstrasi praktikal dan program pembangunan kompetensi berkaitan industri rel.

Lawatan ini turut membuka ruang kepada kedua-dua pihak untuk berkongsi pandangan serta meneroka potensi kerjasama strategik dalam pembangunan kompetensi tenaga kerja, latihan profesional serta program berkaitan pembinaan dan infrastruktur rel.

🤝 Diharapkan kunjungan ini menjadi langkah awal ke arah kerjasama yang lebih erat antara RailX UTHM Damansara dan CIDB Holdings, khususnya dalam menyokong pembangunan bakat serta keperluan kompetensi industri rel negara.

The RailX UTHM Damansara delegation continued its international railway engagement with a Technical Study Visit to Paris–Nord (Gare du Nord) and Paris-Est (Gare de l’Est), exploring passenger movement, station functionality, connectivity, wayfinding and the integration of railway services with urban transport.

The visit provided valuable insights into how modern railway stations function as multimodal mobility hubs, bringing together infrastructure, technology, passenger services, commercial activities and different modes of transportation to create a seamless passenger journey.

The RailX UTHM Damansara delegation continued its international railway engagement with a Technical Study Visit to Paris–Nord (Gare du Nord) and Paris-Est (Gare de l’Est) focusing on the practical aspects of passenger movement, station functionality, railway connectivity and the overall passenger journey.

At Paris–Nord, the delegation observed the station’s complex passenger environment including wayfinding and passenger information systems, platform access, passenger circulation, connections between different rail services and integration with the wider urban transport network. The station’s extensive connectivity also provided an opportunity to examine how different transport services are brought together within a single mobility hub.

At Paris-Est, the visit provided a different perspective on station functionality, passenger accessibility, commercial facilities, information provision and the interface between railway services and urban mobility. The delegation also observed how the station environment supports passenger movement from the point of arrival into the station through to boarding and onward connections.

The visit highlighted that a modern railway station is not simply a place for trains to arrive and depart, but a multifunctional mobility ecosystem that brings together infrastructure, passengers, technology, information, commercial activities and different modes of transportation.

| 17 September 2026 | Austerlitz Station & Gare de Lyon Station – Day 1

The RailX UTHM Damansara delegation kicked off its international railway engagement through a Technical Study Visit to Paris Austerlitz Station and Gare de Lyon Station. The visit provided valuable insights into railway station development, heritage preservation, infrastructure modernisation and future expansion planning.

At Paris Austerlitz Station, the delegation explored the ongoing renovation and redevelopment of the historic station, while at Paris Gare de Lyon Station, the delegation attended a presentation on its historical development, upgrading works and future expansion.

Beyond station infrastructure and development, the visit also opened opportunities for potential exploration and collaboration in key areas of railway innovation, including crowd management systems, passenger behaviour analysis, station management, railway decarbonisation and digitalisation.

These areas are increasingly important in enhancing operational efficiency, passenger experience, sustainability and the overall resilience of modern railway systems.

The knowledge and insights gained from the visit will contribute to RailX UTHM Damansara’s efforts to strengthen research, professional training, industry collaboration and knowledge transfer, particularly in developing future-ready railway talent and supporting the transformation of Malaysia’s sustainable transportation ecosystem.

The visit further strengthens RailX UTHM’s commitment to international knowledge exchange, industry collaboration and professional development in railway and sustainable transportation.

| 10 September 2026 | Professional Certificate in Rolling Stock Operation & Maintenance, in collaboration with RAILTEC – Final Day

🚆 The final day focused on a practical physical familiarisation session at the RAILTEC Depot, giving participants the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge through hands-on exposure to rolling stock components, inspection and maintenance practices, and concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all speakers, facilitators, RAILTEC and participants for their valuable contributions, active participation and support throughout the programme. 👏
