The NCTVT was established in 2009 as part of Joe Junior Empire production program which is subsequently registered with the Ministry of Youth, National Service Sport and Culture and Ministry of Trade and Industry and was established in 2004. Namibia College of Technology and Vocational Training (NCTV) is a community training centre which is preparing the youth in technical and vocational skills in
order to be self employed through capacity building and to be natured and be innovative with entrepreneurship skills. The College believes in uplifting youth skills and employment creation through team work and dedication. The following reasons are the main cause to establish the Namibia College of technology and Vocational Training:
The Increase of grade 10/12. Increase of unemployed youth in the street with no education / skills. Lack of Vocational training centres in the country. The major goal of the institution is to absorb grade 10/12 drop outs and other vulnerable members of the society, who have individual initiatives and have the ability to empower themselves and create employment for themselves. The ollege already accommodates youth and women from all the 13 Namibian administrative Regions. The College is a specialized Vocational Training Centre and Agro-business training institution for entrepreneurship skills acquisition and offers the Following courses: Automotive Mechanic, Welding and Fabrication, Electrical General, Carpentry and Joinery and Agro-Business. The organization is led by young people aged between 15-32 years and they take part in the governance of the organization and the management of its activities. The leader of the Institution as the Managing Director is also a youth.
