Namibia School of Care givers are an initiative from the community awareness with the Namibia Health Professionals. Sister Shilongo took up her calling in the early 1984 and has been in the profession nearly 30 years now. She has extensive Knowledge in health procedures, but her true passion lies in care-giving because she’s a firm believer that healing and personal well-being goes f
ar beyond health treatment. To nurture her passion, sister Shilongo has always gone the extra mile to extend her assistance to individuals and institutions outside her formal employer. In her a free time she has rendered her services at the Susanne Grau Heim old age Centre, Oude Rust Oordet, Namibia Prisons, Namibia Children’s home has provided care to numerous private individuals in their homes. The feedback that sister Shilongo continues to receive from patients and their loved ones, her colleagues, friends and family has prompted her to want to reciprocate the impact of her skills and knowledge. To this end, The Non-Governmental, non-profitable organizations the Namibia School of Care givers is conceptualized, targeting the basic of specialized care for the elderly, vulnerable, destitute and disable members and patient (how to take care dementia Alzheimer patient in the society both clinically and at home base levels we demonstrate a drama to the community to make them community to make them aware how to take care of a dementia Alzheimer patient. Of our community. We exist out of lectures, teachers, health trainers, administrators, accountants, secretaries, chef, cleaners, handyman, and a driver, part time workers and learners.
1. A passion to take care of your community (elderly patients helpless, disable broken community)
2. Namibian citizenship and/or study permit or proof of permanent residency to foreigners.
3. Must be able to communicate in at least 2 languages, e.g. English (native languages)
4. Must be 18 years and above, mature, people loving and compassionate individuals. Course outline
6 month intensive theoretical plus job training at a recognized institution at private hospitals, Old Age Homes and/or Nursing facilities and government institutions. Course content includes but is not limited to the following topics:
