The Executive Development, Study Tour & Knowledge Sharing Programme on “Nigeria–Canada University Collaboration: Capacity, Innovation, Global Equity and Blue Economy Leadership” has successfully concluded at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Held from 21–25 September 2026, the programme provided a valuable platform for university leaders to deepen institutional collaboration, exchange knowledge, explore innovative approaches to capacity development, and strengthen conversations around global equity and the emerging opportunities within the blue economy.

The engagement also reinforced the importance of international partnerships in building more resilient, globally connected and future-ready universities.

As participants return to their institutions, the focus now moves from dialogue to implementation — transforming the insights, networks and ideas developed in Canada into practical initiatives that strengthen higher education in Nigeria and expand opportunities for meaningful Nigeria–Canada collaboration.

The programme may have concluded, but the partnerships, ideas and possibilities it created are only beginning.
