The Journey of Hope

From Egume’s roots, a soul so bright,
The son of Goody-Goody, seeking light.
With hands that labor, heart so true,

A Joyous Ode to the Newborn

Hark! The heavens sing with mirthful cheer,
A babe is born, a gift most dear.
To thee, dear kin, and thy beloved wife,
Cometh this blessing, new breath of life.

Lo, in thy house doth joy abound,
With love and laughter all around.
A maiden fair, of purest grace,
Hath brought the stars to her sweet face.

O gentle child, so fresh, so mild,
May angels guard thee, heaven’s child.
May wisdom, strength, and virtue bright,
Attend thy path, both day and night.

To thee, proud father, thy heart’s delight,
A treasure dost grow before thy sight.
And to the mother, of courage true,
Thy love hath wrought a life anew.

Rejoice, dear kin, let gladness reign,
For blessings cometh after pain.
A bouncing girl, thy joy to share,
A gift of God, so wondrous rare.

May health and wealth thy days bestow,
And peace surround where’er ye go.

The Forgotten Wallet

Ali was a young farmer known for his humble and honest nature. One day, while heading to the market to sell his produce, he noticed a leather wallet lying by the roadside. Picking it up, he opened it and found a large sum of money along with an ID card belonging to someone named Mr. Bala.

Ali thought to himself, "This money is not mine. I must find its owner."

After selling his produce at the market, he asked around about Mr. Bala. Many people recognized the name and directed Ali to a nearby village. When Ali arrived, he went from house to house until he finally found Mr. Bala’s home.

Mr. Bala was overwhelmed with gratitude when Ali returned the wallet. “I thought I had lost it forever,” he said with tears in his eyes. “You could have kept the money, and no one would have known.”

Ali smiled and replied, “But Allah sees everything. Honesty is the best way to live in peace.”

From that day, Mr. Bala and Ali became friends, and the story of Ali’s honesty spread throughout the villages, inspiring others to uphold truthfulness in all they did.

During a journey, Companion Abdullah ibn Umar found himself without water for Wudu. He performed Tayamum and prayed. Later, when he met Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), he asked about the validity of his prayer. The Prophet reassured him, saying: "Your prayer is valid, Abdullah. You have followed Allah's command." (Hadith: Sahih Muslim)

*Story 2: The Traveler's Relief*

A traveler, exhausted and thirsty, reached Medina during the caliphate of Umar ibn Al-Khattab. Unable to find water, he performed Tayamum and prayed. Umar, noticing his concern, approached him and confirmed the validity of Tayamum. (Hadith: Ibn Hisham's "Sirat Rasul Allah")

*Story 3: The Warrior's Prayer*

During the Battle of Badr, Companion Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah found himself without water. He performed Tayamum and led the prayer. After the battle, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) praised his actions, saying: "You have followed Allah's command, Abu Ubaidah." (Hadith: Sahih Bukhari)

Caliph Uthman ibn Affan performed Tayamum during a journey, demonstrating its legitimacy to his companions. When asked about his actions, he replied: "I followed Allah's command and the example of the Prophet." (Hadith: Ibn Hisham's "Sirat Rasul Allah")
