JOSAB Participates in Development Exchange Centre (DEC)'s SSPF Close-Out Showcasing Community Impact Across Gombe State

Jibwis Old Students’ Association Bajoga (JOSAB) joined twelve Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) at DEC SSPF Project Close-Out event held in Gombe State, where participating organizations presented key outcomes, success stories and measurable community impacts achieved during project implementation. The event brought together DEC management, members of the Local Approval Committee (LAC), the DEC-SSPF Project Team and representatives of relevant state MDAs, all of whom commended the efforts of CBOs in driving grassroots development and strengthening community resilience across various sectors.

JOSAB’s participation reflects its continued commitment to community development, partnership and sustainable impact, particularly through interventions that support vulnerable groups and promote education and livelihoods at the grassroots level. The event further highlighted the importance of collaboration among development actors in achieving lasting community transformation in Gombe State.

INNALILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHI RAJI’UN

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved teacher, mentor and father figure, Mallam Muhammad Baba Gadam, the pioneer Principal of JIBWIS Islamic Science Secondary School Bajoga, and former Headmaster of Asas Primary School, Bajoga.

Mallam Muhammad Baba Gadam was not just an administrator, but a builder of lives and a pillar of Islamic and western education in our community. His vision, dedication, discipline and fear of Allah laid the foundation for success of Asas Primary School and upon which JIBWIS School was established in 2007, and his impact will forever remain in the hearts of his students and the community at large.

On behalf of all old students and the entire JIBWIS community, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, relatives and Bajoga community. We pray that Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, expands his grave with light, grants him Jannatul Firdaus and gives his family and all of us the fortitude to bear this great loss.

Indeed, a great man has returned to his Lord.
May his legacy continue through the lives he shaped.
