As part of activities marking the 2026 Cybersecurity Week, the Director of the Centre for Cybersecurity and Sustainable Development (CCSD), Professor Amos Orenyi Bajeh, today (October 5, 2026) led a team from the Centre on an advocacy visit to University Management, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole, SAN.

The visit highlighted the critical importance of digital safety, cyber hygiene, and sustainable technological frameworks within the university ecosystem.

Following the advocacy meeting, the Vice-Chancellor visited the CCSD to officially commission the newly established NITDA Lab, a high-tech facility fully powered by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

This strategic addition further reinforces the University’s commitment to cutting-edge research, digital literacy, and practical training in cybersecurity for both staff and students.
