Desire Alone Is Not Enough

Let this truth be clear:

Desire is where success begins, but it is not where success ends.

Too many people desire greatness.

Too many people talk about their dreams.

But very few develop the determination to follow through.

And that is where many fail.

Desire without discipline becomes frustration.

Desire without action becomes regret.

If you are not willing to work, to sacrifice, to stay consistent, your desire will remain just a wish.

Wake up.
Do not confuse wanting with doing.

Do not mistake dreaming for achieving.

Because life rewards those who act, not those who only desire.

Turn your desire into determination.

Turn your determination into daily effort.

Or risk watching others achieve what you only wished for.

The Fire That Must Be Fed

Our elders would say:

“A small fire can cook a meal, but only if it is fed.”

My son, understand this:

Determination to succeed begins with desire.

Desire is the fire, but determination is how you keep it alive.

Many people feel the spark, but few protect it.

They start with hope, but abandon it when the wind of difficulty blows.

Do not be like that.

Feed your desire with effort.

Guard it with discipline.

Strengthen it with patience.

For the hunter who loses his desire will not chase.

And the farmer who loses his determination will not harvest.

Remember:

“The one who keeps the fire burning will eat when others go hungry.”
