522 Students Matriculate for 2026 Contact Session at FUE Pankshin.

PANKSHIN โ€” A total of 522 students have been formally admitted into the 2026 Contact Session of the Federal University of Education (FUE), Pankshin, under its part-time programme.

The matriculation ceremony, held at the University Auditorium, brought together university authorities, academic staff, students, parents and other stakeholders to mark the formal commencement of the studentsโ€™ academic journey.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos (UNIJOS), Prof. Tanko Ishaya, said the two institutions were committed to exposing students to contemporary and innovative teaching strategies that would enhance their professional development as educators.

Prof. Ishaya, represented by the Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Jos, Prof. Grace Chollom, said the partnership between UNIJOS and FUE Pankshin would continue to provide students with quality educational experiences backed by experienced academics and professional support staff.

He, however, warned the newly admitted students against cultism, examination malpractice, assault and other anti-social or criminal activities.

According to him, such misconduct attracts severe penalties which could jeopardise or even terminate a studentโ€™s academic pursuit.

The Vice Chancellor urged the students to familiarise themselves with the universitiesโ€™ policies on academic integrity and discipline, stressing that grievances should be reported through the appropriate authorities rather than taking the law into their own hands.

The Vice Chancellor of FUE Pankshin, Prof. Noel Nenโ€™man Ndalbeh Wannang, also reaffirmed the institutionโ€™s commitment to producing graduates distinguished by sound character, competence and integrity.

Prof. Wannang, represented by the Dean, College of Sciences, Prof. Dung Mohammed, commended the longstanding collaboration between FUE Pankshin and the University of Jos.

PUBLIC INVITATION

ANNUAL J D GOMWALK MEMORIAL LECTURE 2026

The National Association of Ngas Students (NANGS) National Body warmly invites the general public, sons and daughters of Ngasland, students, academics, traditional rulers, community leaders, youth organisations, political stakeholders, and friends of the Ngas Nation to the Annual J.D. Gomwalk Memorial Lecture 2026.

The memorial lecture is an annual intellectual and commemorative programme established to preserve the memory and enduring legacy of J.D. Gomwalk, while providing a platform for the present generation to reflect on leadership, education, unity, peaceful coexistence, good governance and the collective development of Ngasland.

๐Ÿ“… Date: Friday, 11th September 2026
โฐ Time: 10:00 AM

COME AND BE PART OF THE CONVERSATION.

Meet Umar Al Hassan, a determined young scholar who successfully studied two degree programs simultaneously at two different universities in Kano State.

While pursuing a degree in Microbiology at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Umar was also studying Health Education at Bayero University Kano (BUK) at the same time.

Despite the challenges of balancing lectures, assignments, examinations, and academic responsibilities from both institutions, he remained focused and committed to his goals.

His hard work paid off as he graduated with a Second Class Lower Division in Microbiology from ADUSTECH and a Second Class Upper Division in Health Education from BUK.

Umar's achievement is an inspiring example of dedication, resilience, and the power of determination in the pursuit of academic excellence.
